Chaplain Merek Grimaldus is the Reclusiarch of the Black Templars.

As Reclusiarch, Grimaldus is both a spiritual leader and powerful warrior. He made his name during the Third War of Armageddon, as he lead the defense of the city Helsreach with only a handful of Astartes and local Guard forces, fighting nonstop for a solid month, stealing a Mechanicus Ordinatus, even surviving a temple collapsing on top of himself during the final battle. Inspiring the people of Armageddon, Grimaldus was named the Hero of Helsreach. He lent his aid to a fellow Imperial Fists successor chapter, the Celestial Lions, who had run afoul of the Inquisition and were facing extinction. With his help, they were able to complete their mission against the Orks and restore their honor, thus securing their future.
